Party of Women –

Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. Membership Fees

Membership fees paid to Party of Women are generally non-refundable.

Membership benefits begin immediately upon payment and may include access to member communications, participation in party activities, and eligibility to take part in internal democratic processes. Because these benefits are made available immediately, membership payments cannot normally be refunded once processed.

2. Recurring Payments

Where membership is paid on a recurring basis (for example monthly or annually), the member authorises Party of Women to automatically collect the membership fee using the payment method provided until the membership is cancelled.

Members are responsible for ensuring that their payment details remain valid and for cancelling their membership if they no longer wish payments to continue.

3. Membership Cancellation

Members may cancel their membership at any time.

Members are responsible for cancelling their own membership through the appropriate cancellation process. To guarantee that a further payment is not taken, cancellation must be completed at least seven (7) days before the next scheduled payment date.

If cancellation is requested fewer than seven days before the next payment is due, Party of Women cannot guarantee that the payment will be stopped, and the payment may still be processed.

Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid membership period. No partial refunds will be provided for unused membership time.

4. Donations

All donations made to Party of Women are final and non-refundable.

Political donations are processed and recorded in accordance with applicable electoral law and reporting obligations. Once accepted and recorded, donations cannot normally be returned.

If a donation was made in clear error, the donor must contact Party of Women using the online contact form within seven (7) days of the transaction. Any refund in such circumstances is entirely at the discretion of the party.

5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Members and donors agree to contact Party of Women using the online contact form to resolve any payment issues before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or payment provider.

Where a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated without first contacting Party of Women:

  • The membership may be immediately suspended or terminated.

  • Any associated voting or participation rights may be withdrawn.

  • Party of Women reserves the right to challenge the chargeback and provide evidence of the member’s agreement to these terms.

Party of Women also reserves the right to recover unpaid membership fees and associated costs where a chargeback is found to be unjustified.

6. Payment Errors or Fraud

If you believe a payment has been made fraudulently or in error, please contact Party of Women using the online contact form within seven (7) days of the transaction and include the payment reference and transaction details.

The party will investigate the matter and determine whether a refund is appropriate.

7. Compliance with Electoral Law

All payments to Party of Women may be subject to verification to ensure compliance with UK electoral law and Electoral Commission donation rules. In some circumstances the party may be required to refuse or return a payment if it cannot legally be accepted.

8. Policy Updates

Party of Women reserves the right to update this policy from time to time. The most current version will always be published on the Party of Women website.
